Engineering @ 365 are currently working with a specialist manufacturer based in Preston who are recruiting for a Design Engineer on a permanent basis.



Job Description:



We are seeking a skilled Design Engineer proficient in Tekla Software to join our client’s dynamic team. As a Design Engineer, you will play a crucial role in creating structural designs and models using Tekla software, contributing to the success of their projects.



Key Responsibilities:



* Utilise Tekla software to create detailed structural designs and models according to project specifications and requirements.



* Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure designs meet project objectives and standards.



* Generate accurate shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and erection plans for construction purposes.



* Review and analyse structural designs for accuracy, feasibility, and compliance with building codes and regulations.



* Provide technical support and guidance to project teams throughout the design and construction phases.



* Participate in design meetings, site visits, and coordination efforts as needed to address design-related issues and ensure project success.



* Stay updated on industry trends, software advancements, and best practices related to Tekla software and structural design methodologies.



Requirements:



* Proven experience working as a Design Engineer with proficiency in Tekla software.



* Strong knowledge of structural design principles, building codes, and construction practices.



* Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.



* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.



* Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and precision in design work.



* Previous experience in the construction industry or with steel fabrication companies.



* Familiarity with other design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or Inventor.
