Design EngineerMonday - Friday: 8am - 4pm£38,000 - £42,000 per annumPeople Solutions are currently recruiting for a Design Engineer to join our well-established client based in Nottingham on a full-time permanent basis.This is a fantastic opportunity offering an amazing annual salary and excellent room to grow and progress within an innovative and rapidly expanding company.Benefits24 days annual leave plus all bank holidaysTime ff in lieu (TOIL)Opportunities for professional growth within an advanced manufacturing environmentExposure to cutting-edge electromechanical and automation technologiesFriendly and dynamic working environmentDay-to-Day DutiesDesigning and creating 3D models of electromechanical systems using SolidWorksProducing manufacturing detail drawings for both external suppliers and internal useMaintaining and developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and technical documentation including machine user manualsSupporting all design and manufacturing tasks related to New Product Introduction (NPI) and production machineryWorking with bespoke systems incorporating mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic componentsCoordinating with production teams, suppliers, and contractors to meet project milestonesCommunicating effectively across departments, including presenting design solutions at weekly operational meetingsAssisting in the preparation of estimated project costs and obtaining supplier quotationsStaying informed on relevant industry regulations and standardsEssential SkillsA minimum 2:2 degree in Mechanical, Design, or Manufacturing Engineering (or a closely related discipline)At least three years' experience using CAD software, ideally SolidWorksStrong understanding of bespoke mechanical systemsExcellent communication and teamworking skillsAble to manage workload independently and meet project deadlinesCompetent in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, etc.)High attention to detail with a commitment to qualityDesirable SkillsExperience working with electro-mechanical systems, automation, or within a manufacturing environmentExposure to advanced manufacturing technologies and a desire to learn moreKnowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics integrationPrevious experience in creating or updating technical documentation and manualsTrainingOngoing support and learning opportunities within the design and advanced manufacturing teamsHands-on exposure to innovative technology and product development processesRoom to grow into senior or specialist roles as the company continues to expandApplyIf you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity, apply today by clicking the link belowPeople Solutions do not charge any of their candidates any fees or request deposits at any stage of the recruitment processTPBN1_UKTJ
