Baltic Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an established, market-leading manufacturing business with their search for a Design & Development Engineer. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative and driven engineering professional to play a key role in the design, development, and improvement of products within a highly respected organisation.\n\nKey Duties: \n\nDesign solutions for new products development within the given framework of all on site development.\nProvide expert assistance on thermoplastic extrusion. This includes promoting the technology and performing specific project responsibilities.\nLead trials, mainly in extrusion, in support of customers and internal development works, creating prototypes, analyzing test data and document results in test reports.\nFoster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of innovation initiatives and product development process.\nAct as project leader on new product development collaborating with cross-functional teams and following new product development from concept to production release.\nStaying up to date with advancements in material technology and industry trends and incorporating new technologies into the production process as appropriate.

With the material choice proposed, able to meet our environmental, mechanical and performance requirements.\nOrganize project meetings, define project deliverables, monitor timelines and resources whilst reporting and challenging deviations.\nTo validate new designs, processes, and materials through testing, experimentation, and evaluation.\nDefine product functional analysis (based on standards) to translate customer specifications and internal requirements into clear product performance criteria.\nProduce written reports and make presentations to the internal team and customers.Key Requirements: \n\nBachelor's or master's degree or equivalent in polymer engineering, materials science, or a related field.\nStrong understanding of polymer science and technology, with a focus on thermoplastic elastomers extrusion processes.\nStrong design and prototyping skills, including experience with computer-aided design (CAD) software.\nAbility to support multiple projects to achieve desired.\nProject Management, capacity to follow the innovative projects and new projects development.The Package:\n\n£45,000.00 per annum. \nDayshift - 40 hrs / week.\nSalary Sacrifice pension to 7%.\nEAP.\nLife Assurance x 4
