Get Hands-On with Real Engineering Innovation
Are you a mechanical engineering graduate or early-career engineer who loves building things, fixing things, and making ideas come to life? Do you enjoy working with your hands—whether it’s in a workshop, on a prototype, or rebuilding something in your spare time?
We’re looking for enthusiastic, practical-minded mechanical engineers to join our fast-growing R&D team. Whether you’ve spent time fabricating in university projects, restoring old vehicles, building custom machines, or tinkering with metalwork and tools—you’ll thrive in this unique hands-on role.
Join a family-owned manufacturer at the forefront of medical / healthcare equipment innovation. You’ll be part of an engineering-led culture where your ideas, creativity, and workshop skills will help develop life-changing medical technology.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Designing and building mechanical prototypes for new medical equipment
* Taking concepts from early-stage ideas to working physical models
* Using SolidWorks (training provided if needed) to support your designs
* Hands-on R&D in workshop - welding, fabricating, machining, assembling, and testing
* Collaborating with a talented engineering team to iterate and improve designs
* Learning from experienced engineers and contributing your own ideas from day one
Who We’re Looking For:
* A degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a related field)—recent graduate’s welcome
* Genuine enthusiasm for hands-on mechanical work - this is not a desk role!
* Practical experience (personal or professional) with metalwork, welding, fabrication, or CNC is highly valued
* Hobbies such as restoring vehicles, building mechanical systems, or DIY projects are a big plus!
* Comfortable using hand and power tools and solving problems with a hands-on approach
* Familiarity with SolidWorks (we’ll provide training if needed)
* Full right to work in the UK; a driver’s license is due to the site location
Why This Role?
* Join a growing R&D team where ideas are taken seriously, and skills are developed
* Work on meaningful projects - your work will impact real lives
* See the full build prototype, from concept through to hands-on fabrication and testing
* Gain experience in a supportive, engineering-led company with strong values
