Key Responsibilities

Civil Engineering Design & Planning:

Assist in the design and development of

grading plans, storm drain systems, utilities, sewer, and street improvements

under the supervision of the Project Manager.

Research, interpret, and

apply city standards, zoning requirements, and regulations

to land development projects.

Ensure that designs meet

local, state, and federal requirements

for land use and infrastructure.

Project Coordination & Communication:

Work closely with

agencies, municipalities, and plan checkers

to ensure smooth project approvals.

Prepare and submit

comment response letters

for project revisions.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including

surveyors, architects, contractors, and clients , to maintain project efficiency.

Quality Control & Compliance:

Adhere to

company standards and core values , ensuring designs are consistent with best practices.

Maintain an

organized workflow

to meet project deadlines and client expectations.

Conduct

site assessments and feasibility studies

to determine project viability.

Professional Development & Teamwork:

Maintain a

positive attitude

and demonstrate a willingness to learn.

Collaborate with

senior engineers and project managers

to develop skills and advance technical expertise.

Stay up to date with

emerging industry trends, new regulations, and best engineering practices .

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education & Certification:

Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering

(or a closely related field).

EIT certification ; Professional Engineer ( PE ) license is a plus.

Experience & Technical Skills:

2+ years of experience in land development

projects.

Strong knowledge of

AutoCAD

for civil engineering applications.

Familiarity with

grading, drainage, and utility design

for commercial and residential developments.

Understanding of

local and federal land use regulations, zoning codes, and permitting requirements .

Strong

problem-solving and analytical skills

with attention to detail.

Soft Skills & Work Ethic:

Ability to work

collaboratively

in a

fast-paced

team environment.

Strong

communication skills

to interact with clients, agencies, and team members.

Self-motivated with the ability to

manage multiple projects and meet deadlines .
