Job Description
Duties and responsibilities:\n\nDevelop practice including investigation and reporting, within your areas of specialist expertise. \nAnalyse, interpret and report information and knowledge related to ideas and concepts. \nDevelop and evaluate the movement of laboratory specimens and blood.
\nAssist with research and development.\nDevelop practice in the application of technology for measuring and monitoring pathology investigations, within your specialist area of expertise..\nProvide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information. \nDevelop own knowledge and skills and that of others. \nPromotes best practice in health and safety and security.\nAssist in maintaining and developing services.\nLead others in the quality improvement of pathology services.\nSupport and enable equality, and rights.\nLead others in the development of knowledge, ideas and work practices\nAssist the Pathology Manager in maintaining and supporting the effective use of physical and financial resources\nSupport the Pathology Manager by undertaking human resource activities for the pathology team.Who we're looking for:\n\nDegree qualified, HNC Medical Laboratory Sciences or equivalent which would allow individual to be eligible for Associate Membership of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences.\nBiomedical Scientist with the Health & Care Professions Council.\nExperience in a haematology/blood transfusion or biochemistry hospital scientific laboratory.\nAchieved ISO 15189 accreditation\nExperience working within a quality assurance and control culture maintaining safe standards Achieved ISO 15189 accreditation across a variety of laboratories\nExperience Managing across teams and hospital laboratories.
