Job Description (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Kenya Nuclear Regulatory Authority (KNRA) is a public entity established under Section 5 of the Nuclear Regulatory Act No. 29 of , which commenced on 10th January , to provide protection of persons, property and the environment against the harmful effects of ionizing and non-ionizing radiation through the establishment of a system of regulatory control.Vacancy No. KNRA/04/For appointment to this Grade, a candidate must: – A minimum of years relevant work experience in public or private institution four years of which should have been in a senior management role;Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Supply Chain Management, Procurement, Purchasing and Supply, Logistics, Business studies or any other relevant and qualification from a recognized institution;Master’s degree in supply chain management, logistics or any other relevant and equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;Be a member of professional body either KISM or CIPS in good standing;Leadership course lasting not less than four weeks from a recognized institution or its equivalent;Proficiency in computer applications; andFulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution. Duties and responsibilities Developing and coordinating the preparation of annual procurement and disposal plans and their implementation;Coordinating procurement and disposal activities in the Authority;Preparing contract documents for goods, works and services;Custodian of contract documents;Liaising with the user department to ensure effective implementation of contracts for goods, works and services;Providing secretariat to committees’ incidental to procurement of goods and services, and disposal of assets;Coordinating disposal of assets activities;Providing professional advice on procurement of goods, works and services and disposal of assets;Preparing statutory reports to PPRA; andReviewing procurement needs of the Authority.
