Position Summary
As a Software Engineering Director, you will provide strategic technical leadership and operational direction to engineering teams delivering reliable, scalable software products. You will partner closely with cross-functional leaders to set technical direction, drive execution, and elevate engineering practices across the organization.
In this role, you will balance big-picture strategy with hands-on leadership—ensuring teams ship quality work, improve system performance and reliability, and continuously advance development standards.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage software engineering teams, providing clear priorities, performance guidance, and effective coaching to deliver results.

Define and communicate technical strategy, architecture direction, and delivery roadmaps aligned with business goals.

Drive engineering execution across the full lifecycle, ensuring quality, scalability, and maintainability of production systems.

Collaborate with product, design, and operational stakeholders to translate requirements into technical plans and measurable outcomes.

Establish and improve engineering standards, including coding practices, reliability approaches, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications

Extensive experience leading software engineering teams, with a demonstrated ability to translate strategy into delivered outcomes.

Strong technical foundation in designing and operating complex software systems at scale.

Proven experience driving engineering execution, setting priorities, and managing delivery in dynamic, cross-functional environments.

Track record of improving engineering processes related to quality, reliability, and maintainability.

Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts and influence decisions across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications

Experience guiding architecture and modernization efforts for large, distributed systems.

Demonstrated leadership in reliability engineering, observability, and incident response practices.

Familiarity with building secure software and promoting secure development practices.

Compensation
Annual salary: $500,000.00
