DescriptionJob title : Degree Apprentice Manufacturing EngineerLocation : WashingtonSalary : Starting from £25,688 with annual progression through the scheme durationWhat you’ll be doing :Ensure that manufacturing processes are carried out safely by identifying and understanding process risks and implementing the necessary controls to ensure low risks to processWork to identify problems with product performance; recommend solutions and process improvements.Refine the manufacturing processes to achieve manufacturing goals according to product specification and business priorities.Plan and design methods to improve efficiency and product quality by utilizing Continuous Improvement (CI) tools and working as a member of a cross functional collaborative team.Work to improve equipment availability and capability, process capability studies. Support the site CI plan and manage identified business improvement projects.Manage and support capital acquisition, engineering proposals, and provide estimated costs to achieve operational improvements and financial benefits.Liaise with Product & Process Engineering to develop and certify process control trilogy.Produce technical specifications for new/replacement equipment, carry out factory acceptance and installed article tests, and carry out trials and commissioning on process equipment.Liaise with the site Safety/COMAH team to develop and maintaining manufacturing High Hazard Safe Systems of Work, including, Fire & Explosion Risk Assessment, DSEAR and Standard Operating Procedures.Benefits :As well as a competitive pension scheme, BAE Systems also offers employee share plans, an extensive range of flexible discounted health, wellbeing & lifestyle benefits, including a green car scheme, private health plans and shopping discounts – you may also be eligible for an annual incentive.The BAE Systems Land team :This is a place where you’ll be able to make a real difference. 1 subject must be Maths and 1 subject must be in Engineering or a Science/Technical subject OR an equivalent level 3 vocational qualification (must be a STEM related subject that aligns to the scheme/area you are applying for and worth a minimum of 96 UCAS points)
