Job Description

To provide effective engineering support through planned maintenance, breakdown response, and remedial works to site equipment and buildings, ensuring operational reliability and safety.\n\nClient Details\n\nOur client is a large luxury, stable PLC operating business nationwide, with an annual turnover approaching £600 million. The scale of the organisation offers long-term security, structured career development, and exposure to best-in-class engineering standards across the wider group\n\nDescription\n\nEnsure company disciplines, rules, and standards are consistently maintained.\nMaintain company assets to achieve maximum operational efficiency and reliability.\nCommunicate effectively with Production teams and engineering colleagues.\nMaintain awareness and control of spare parts required for site plant and equipment.\nOperate in accordance with company procedures and documented standards.\nCarry out planned maintenance tasks in line with engineering and safety standards.\nRespond to and repair equipment breakdowns in a safe and timely manner.\nComplete remedial engineering works to plant, equipment, or site infrastructure as directed by the Engineering Manager.\nProactively identify and report any safety risks or potential equipment failures Engineers work fixed night or day shifts, allowing for consistent sleep patterns, personal routines, and family commitments\n\nAverage working week of 42.00 hours. The shift pattern operates on 12-hour shifts plus a 30-minute daily handover\n\nShift rotating basis 3-shifts week, followed by a 4-shift week, throughout the year\n\nProfile\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills.\nCompetent in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nAbility to quickly learn and use new IT systems, including CMMS software.\nCapable of building effective working relationships across all levels of the business.\nHigh attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach.\nConfident decision-maker with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.\nSelf-motivated, flexible, and responsive to business needs.\nWillingness to work unsocial hours, including permanent night shifts where applicable.\nRecognised engineering qualification (e.g.
