Location: Chester
Type: Permanent
Hours: Days (Monday- Friday)
Salary: £44,000
Russell Taylor is working with a large multi-sited manufacturing organisation who's partner brands are easily recognisable; the DSE (Day Shift Engineer) will play a key role in maintenance, scheduling and repair work for their large manufacturing site in Chester.
The Role:
• To schedule maintenance of all machinery, including servicing, repairs & inspections to a high standard, adhering to record keeping and hygienic hand back to production.
• Operating and maintaining service plant boilers, chilled water, air, effluent treatment etc.
• To have involvement with new design and upgrades, installation, and movements of existing machines.
• Involved in loss reduction and efficiency improvement activities with production operators.
• Following GMP and adopt a clean as you go culture.
• Always comply with Clients policies and procedures.
• Conducting risk assessment prior to any maintenance work and ensure conclusions are implemented prior to start of work to remove hazards
• Working hands-on within all areas of the factory on Reactive Maintenance, Preventative Maintenance, Root cause Analysis and ongoing reliability of all processing and packing plant. Maximise up-time of plant.
The Person:
• Time served apprenticeship, or recognised endangering qual (HND, HNC etc)
• 17th/18th edition qualification required
• TIG welding experience essential
• The ideal candidate will have experience working in a FMCG setting (ideally food)
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
