Valley Village, a nonprofit organization providing services to adults with developmental disabilities is currently seeking to fill a full-time Day Program Director.
Hours: Monday-Friday 7am-3:00pm
This position is responsible for the daily management of all aspects of the behavior management and development program, including supervising, training and ensuring adherence to job responsibilities of their administrative staff that will oversee the development program, related to participant services, recruitment, training and supervision of staff as well. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
· Implement program procedures.
· Educate staff in licensing and regulatory requirements and agency policies in meeting the needs of participants.
· Supervise staff, define staff roles and assign responsibilities. Ensure participants’ needs are met while attending the Center.
· Schedule regular team meetings to develop and update care plans.
· Responsible for hiring all contract staff and monitor hours and service delivery.
· Responsible for review of participant records and determining that all documentation requirements are met.
· Schedule regular in-service training events. Encourage staff to attend educational programs offered in the community.
· Recruit, train, and supervise volunteer staff as well as develop protocols, job descriptions, and supervisory assignments for volunteers.
· Comply with all health and safety standards including licensing, fire and disaster preparedness regulations and agency policies, and monitor staff compliance.
· Conform to all applicable policies of the Center and attend the program offered by the program.
· This role will involve comprehensive training of PROACT techniques and training. This role will be responsible for training of their program staff in PROACT or any similar program to address behavioral challenges.
· Responsible for the management of cash and credit card funds for the program.
· Maintain good communication with the administrator. Keep the administrator informed of all aspects of daily programming and staffing issues.

Requirements:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Human Service, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
· Registered Behavioral Technician
· Previous supervisory experience
· Medical knowledge
· Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
· Valid California Drivers license
· Must be a able to pass a TB clearance, Background check and Health Exam
