Overview
CTG is seeking to fill a Database Architect 3 opening for our client in Austin, TX.
Location: Austin, TX (hybrid remote)
Duties:

Design and build relational databases and implement strategies for data acquisition, archival, recovery, and implementation.

Maintain and clean databases by removing outdated data.

Design, develop, and manipulate database management systems, data warehouses, and multidimensional databases.

Provide strategic data manipulation insights and support formal design of relational databases.
-
Ensure alignment of organizational goals with enterprise data standards.
-
Create and maintain centralized metadata registries.
-
Ensure accessibility compliance for all database interfaces including data input, view, and output interfaces.
-
Lead the design and implementation of robust data structures to support analytics initiatives.
-
Develop comprehensive database and table designs to optimize storage and retrieval.
-
Apply advanced analytics tools to derive actionable insights.
-
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with organizational goals.
-
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and big data analytics.
-
Lead data architecture strategy while mentoring and guiding team members.
Skills:
-
Strong data architecture and data modeling expertise.
-
Proficiency in SQL and various database technologies.
-
Deep knowledge of data governance principles and best practices.
-
Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
-
Experience with ETL tools, APIs, and EHR integration.
-
Ability to design and implement cloud-based data architecture using Snowflake.
-
Expertise in data integration, warehousing, and lake formation.
-
Familiarity with healthcare data standards (FHIR, CCDA, HL-7).
-
Advanced knowledge of analytics tools and strategies.
-
Strong communication and team leadership capabilities.
Experience:
-
10+ years in data architecture, modeling, and warehousing.
-
10+ years in business intelligence and big data solutions.
-
10+ years managing advanced analytics projects.
-
10+ years developing and managing cloud-based data solutions.
-
10+ years leading enterprise data initiatives and teams.
-
10+ years with ETL tools and data pipeline architecture (preferably Informatica).
-
10+ years with real-time streaming, APIs, and healthcare data integration.
-
8+ years in implementing big data applications and hybrid cloud deployments.
-
8+ years hands-on experience with Python and/or Java/Scala.
-
experience with structured Enterprise Architecture, on-prem to cloud migrations, and healthcare industry standards.
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field.
-
Certifications such as TOGAF, Azure/AWS/GCP Solution Architecture .
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
