Job Description

Senior Data EngineerWe are expanding the iPEN information platform to centrally collect and provide data from regional grid operators. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will support us in building the product "Business Insights Hub" within iPEN - a combination of standard reporting and KI-based process reporting & mining.This enables grid operators to operate dashboards for various business process analyses on a uniform data basis.Datenintegration: Support for all data integration activities for the new product within the existing iPEN platform (Databricks, Unity Catalog).Quellsystemanbindung: Designing the process for connecting source systems and accompanying transformation into a common data model.Enablement: Empowering data engineers from grid operators to actively contribute to the ETL codebase and promoting code reuse.Pipeline-Entwicklung: Implementing ETL pipelines for data extraction and ensuring their efficiency.Betriebssicherheit: Responsibility for stable and reliable operation of data pipelines.RequirementsFor this role, we require experience with:Azure-Erfahrung: Comprehensive knowledge of the Microsoft Azure technology stack, especially in Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks.Entwicklungskompetenz: Several years of experience with Python, Scala, SQL, Spark and Databricks in cloud- projects.Pipeline-Know-how: Evidence of experience in managing data extraction pipelines.Analytisches Denken: Structured work, analytical thinking and sovereignty in organizing complex tasks.Kommunikation: Clear communication, creating convincing concepts and fluent German and English skills.
