**This is a Closed-Door non-patient facing position - no patient interactions**

Data Entry Pharmacy Technician Location: Irving, TX - Probationary training is on site 5 days a week for 30 days - Hybrid after 30 days based off of performance

Data Entry Pharmacy Technician Compensation: $19.00*

Data Entry Pharmacy Technician Hours: Mon-Fri hours between 8am – 6pm will work an 8-hour day with a 30-minute lunch

What does the Data Entry Pharmacy Technician do?

• Perform technical, nonjudgmental tasks under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist
• Accurately enter and process new and refill prescriptions in the pharmacy system
• Verify patient information and physician authorization
• Calculate and convert dosages accurately (metric and apothecary systems)
• Conduct eligibility verification and process third-party claims adjudication
• Maintain proper records and manage medication inventory
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA
• Support and adhere to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards
• Assist in maintaining the accuracy of pharmacy software systems
• Work within specific program guidelines and service level expectations
• Handle cross-functional communication, including prescriber and shipment-related calls
• Support escalations involving leadership, pharmacists, and third-party partners
• Exhibit strong attention to detail, urgency, and multitasking skills
• Prioritize and complete tasks efficiently to meet quality and productivity standards
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Pharmacy Technician Qualifications/Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• 1+ years of related pharmacy experience is required
• Active Pharmacy Technician license with no restrictions in the state of Texas
• Data Entry Pharmacy Experience
