Job DescriptionJob DescriptionData ArchitectLocation: Mostly remote — must reside within ~1 hour of Topeka, KS for occasional onsite meetings or project needs.Work Eligibility: Due to contract requirements, we can only consider U.S. or U.S. lawful permanent (Green Card holders) who are authorized to work in the U.S. without current or future sponsorship.
Contract for Hire Engagement: W2 only. No C2C, no thirdparty agenciesAbout the RoleWe’re hiring a Data Architect to drive data strategy and modernize enterprise data warehousing and governance. You’ll partner with engineering and business leaders to design scalable architectures, improve data quality/accessibility, and enhance performance across a complex environment.Key Responsibilities

  • Define the longterm data architecture and datawarehouse roadmap; design new models and evolve existing data stores.
  • Oversee data collection, master data, database standards, quality controls, and QA practices with engineering teams.
  • Lead warehouse development and growth initiatives; troubleshoot access/performance issues.
  • Implement and uphold data governance; support DR, redundancy, and archiving strategies.

Required Experience & Skills

  • 8+ years in data architecture/analytics (designing data warehouses/marts/stores).
  • 5+ years in largescale data modeling, data mining, and requirements gathering/analysis.
  • Strong command of relational database theory and best practices.
  • Clear communication with technical and nontechnical audiences.

Tech Environment

  • SQL () & SQL databases, SQL Server Management Studio
  • Windows Server
  • .NET (VB/C#), Java, or similar
  • Azure DevOps, Visual Studio
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint

Education

  • Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Work Setting

  • Primarily remote, with occasional onsite collaboration in Topeka, KS.
  • Businesscasual environment; standard office physical requirements.
