Job Description
Data Architect – Insurance/Reinsurance. Superb London based client has a long-term, Inside IR35, Hybrid Remote / Onsite role for an experienced Data Architect with a ReInsurance background and very strong Azure / DataBricks Data Architecture experience. This role will be pivotal in designing and delivering scalable data architecture to support advanced analytics, digitalization initiatives, and enterprise-wide information management.

- Lead the design and implementation of scalable data architecture for insurance and reinsurance analytics.
- Develop and maintain logical and physical data models, ensuring integrity, consistency, and performance.
- Define and govern data architecture standards and integration practices across Azure Data Factory and Databricks.
- Manage the Information Management framework, architecture, processes, and solutions.
- Create and maintain strategic roadmaps for Data & Analytics domains.
- Review high-level designs to ensure quality, coherence, and alignment with enterprise data architecture.
- Deliver standards, patterns, and controls for repeatable and secure data services deployment.

Profile & Skills Mandatory Skills:
- \n
- Proven experience in Insurance/Reinsurance (Inwards) industry, with familiarity in London Market or Specialty Insurance data domains and terminology.
- Strong data modeling expertise (Erwin or similar).
- Hands-on experience in designing and managing data architecture in enterprise environments.

Additional Skills & Experience:

- 5–10+ years in data architecture, engineering, or administration within insurance enterprises.
- Strong understanding of insurance domain concepts and data structures.
- Knowledge of data warehousing and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Experience with Azure Data Factory and Databricks (orchestration and pipeline design).
- Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and SDLC methodologies.
- Relevant industry certifications (Azure, Databricks, Data Architecture) .
