Job DescriptionJob Description
We are seeking an experienced DAS Installation Technician to join our in-building wireless team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, testing, and troubleshooting Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) and public safety communication systems at customer sites nationwide. You will work closely with the engineering team to ensure deployments meet design specifications and performance standards.
Essential Functions:
- Perform on-site installation of DAS and public safety communication systems, including coax, fiber, antennas, and headend equipment.
- Perform fiber splicing, fiber connector installations and terminations.
- Conduct PIM testing and mitigation to ensure optimal system performance.
- Operate and maintain test equipment including fusion splicers, Spectrum Analyzers, PIM testers and OTDRs.
- Troubleshoot and resolve installation, construction, and performance issues in the field.
- Interpret and work from iBwave design files, correlating them to field conditions and collected data.
- Conduct system testing, optimization, and documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and customers to deliver high-quality installations.
- Work with multiple DAS OEM platforms, including CommScope, ADRF, JMA, Nextivity and SOLiD
Requirements
- 3+ years of hands-on experience installing and maintaining DAS and/or public safety communication systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for RF systems and installation issues.
- Proficiency with iBwave design interpretation and field validation.
- Experience with multiple DAS OEMs (CommScope, ADRF, JMA, SOLiD).
- Strong working knowledge of structured cabling (e.g. CATx etc.)
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in the field.
- Willingness to travel extensively (80–90%).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in a variety of construction environments.
- OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, or other relevant safety certifications.
- Valid Drivers License.

- Cable Vendor certifications (e.g. Andrew, RFS Cablewave, CommScope, Trilogy)
- Public safety DAS installation experience.
