ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
LEAD:
- NDT inspections (VT, MT, PT, CRI, etc.)
- Develop/Approve NDT procedures, training material and testing material
- Maintain NDT personnel certifications & associated documentation
- Review and interpret radiographic film and reports
- Notify supervisors and other personnel of quality problem(s), and assist in identifying and correcting those concerns
- Train, coach and mentor assistants, technicians and trainers in quality workmanship and best practices
- Verify and support safety requirements compliance

COORDINATE:
- NDT inspection planning/scheduling; in-house and 3rd party
- Team growth and training
- Maintain and improve product quality by collaborating with other team members to develop new process designs, manufacturing, and training methods

SUPPORT:
- Review and approval of WPS and WPQ
- Assist with review of contract requirements and vendor/contractor requirements
- Collecting and compiling relevant quality statistical data
- Assist with inspection activities as needed
- Assist with training needs, including leading or co-facilitating training classes as needed, regarding quality procedures and processes

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- ASNT Level III: VT, PT & MT
- AWS C.W.I.
- AWS C.R.I.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering is , or a minimum of 5 years' experience as an ANST Level III.
- Strong background in fabrication, equipment, and techniques
- Must be able to pass an ITAR-grade background check.
- Understands value of time and materials.
- Effective problem-solving skills

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to walk or stand for long periods, lift to 50 pounds, stoop, climb, and use ladders to perform various inspection tasks and studies.
- Handling and moving objects- Using hands and arms in handling, positioning, and moving materials
- Must be able to stand, squat, bend, crawl, reach

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Manufacturing environment: May be exposed to loud noises, changing temperatures, machinery with moving parts, and exotic materials.
ITAR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to and abide by all ITAR-specific job standards and training. Protect and properly safeguard ITAR-sensitive information and work product; ensure dissemination or disclosure of and access to "protected data" occurs only with those trained and approved for exposure to ITAR content.
- IMMEDIATELY notify Supervisor/Manager, Human Resources, Legal (email: [email protected]) or the Samuel Ethics Alert Hotline of known or suspected unauthorized disclosure, release of or access to protected ITAR content.
