Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Customer Service Specialist to join our team. The CSS is responsible for handling inbound customer inquiries regarding residential trash collection services, including account setup, billing questions, missed pick-up issues, service changes, and complaints, ensuring customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Answer incoming calls and emails from residential customers regarding trash collection services, addressing concerns, and resolving issues promptly.
- Create new customer accounts, update existing accounts with service changes (address changes, container size adjustments, etc.), and process billing inquiries.
- Investigate and troubleshoot issues related to missed pickups, incorrect billing, damaged containers, or service disruptions, coordinating with operations teams to resolve problems effectively.
- Clearly explain company policies regarding trash collection schedules, container usage, billing cycles, and recycling guidelines to customers.
- May assist with cross-selling additional services like bulk pick-up or roll-off rentals to existing customers.
- Accurately maintain customer records, including account details, service requests, and complaint history within the company database.
- Identify and escalate complex issues requiring further investigation or management attention to the appropriate department.
Required Skills
- Utilizes superior written and verbal communication skills
- Effectively uses the Company’s CRM and other software tools. Prior experience with Navusoft is a plus.
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize and plan work activities.
- Adapts and able to deal with frequent changes in the work environment.
- Manage difficult or emotional customer situations and respond promptly to service requests to meet customer commitments. Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness to meet productivity standards in a timely manner.
