Successful candidates will provide outstanding customer service, be experienced in order entry and tracking, have excellent technical skills, be committed to customer satisfaction, and more.

Customer Service Specialist Responsibilities:

·         Professionally handle incoming customer requests and provide accurate information to customers. 

·         Troubleshoot customer issues over the phone and/or via email.

·         Ensure questions are answered and issues are resolved promptly and correctly.

·         Educate the customer where applicable to prevent the need for future contacts and document interactions through contact tracking.

·         General customer/account management including evaluation of customer needs and forwarding upsell opportunities to the Sales team.

·         Point of contact and interface between the company, customers, and production.

·         Accurate entry of customer orders and changes.

·         Processing of customer invoices and end-of-day reporting.

·         Process day-to-day activities related to large OEM customers.

·         Accurate entry and management of customer and account data.

·         Assist sales/admin/production staff with clerical support needs, including but not limited to: quoting, reporting, forecasting, and product research.

·         Proficiency with automated information systems (EDI) file processing.

·         Handle issues in the best interest of both the customer and company.

·         Continuously evaluate and identify opportunities to drive process improvements that positively impact the customer’s experience.

·         Accurately follow standard process, work, and test instructions.

·         Assist with other tasks as assigned.

·         Ability to communicate clearly and in a professional manner.

·         Able to perform job consistently without excessive absenteeism or tardiness.

·         Professional communication skills in English across written, verbal, and electronic (email) mediums.

 

Customer Service Specialist Qualifications:

To be considered for the Customer Service Specialist position, applicants should:

·         Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

·         Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.

·         Detail-oriented and thorough.

·         Works well independently and within a team.

·         Works quickly and accurately.

·         Professional and respectful conduct.

·         Adapts quickly to our ever-changing environment.

·         Intermediate computer skills, specifically with Microsoft Office and email. 

·         Experience with ERP/customer management systems and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) order systems is beneficial. 

·         High School Diploma; applicable professional development training beneficial.

·         Minimum 1 year customer service experience.

·         Minimum 1 year of clerical/data entry experience.

·         Experience with technical products or services is helpful.
