A global leader in advanced electrical interconnect and engineered energy solutions is seeking a Customer Service Representative (CSR) to support customer operations, order management, and cross-functional coordination within its North American business.

The Opportunity
Based in Houston, the Customer Service Representative will serve as a central point of coordination between customers, sales, production, engineering, supply chain, and logistics teams.
The role requires strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering a high standard of customer support within a technical product environment.
This position is ideally suited to someone with experience in manufacturing, industrial products, engineered solutions, or technical order management who enjoys working in a collaborative, customer-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full customer order lifecycle from quotation and order entry through to delivery coordination and follow-up.
- Respond to customer inquiries relating to pricing, availability, lead times, shipments, and order status.
- Process customer orders accurately within ERP systems, ensuring all commercial and technical details are captured correctly.
- Coordinate closely with internal departments including Sales, Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Logistics.
- Monitor order progress and proactively communicate updates, delays, or changes to customers.
- Maintain accurate customer records, documentation, and shipping information.
- Support contract review and order validation processes to ensure alignment with customer specifications and operational capabilities.
- Interpret basic technical drawings, specifications, and product documentation where required.
- Assist with customer issue resolution including returns, warranty claims, shipment discrepancies, and delivery concerns.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across customer operations and service processes.
Candidate Profile
Essential Experience
- 3–5+ years of experience within customer service, inside sales support, order management, or customer operations in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Experience working with ERP systems and order processing platforms.
- Strong understanding of order management processes within engineered product or manufacturing environments.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship skills.
- Strong organisational ability with high attention to detail and follow-through.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Preferred Experience
Experience supporting industrial, electrical, energy, infrastructure, or engineered product sectors.
Ability to interpret basic technical documentation and product specifications.
Experience working within high-mix manufacturing or technical product environments.
