Job Description
Our client, a leading company in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Customer & Commercial Director to join their team. This permanent position represents a key role within the Senior Leadership Team, working closely with Sales, Operational, and Finance teams to maximise commercial opportunities and maintain high levels of Customer Satisfaction.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nCustomer Support Management: planning, relationships, quotes, invoicing, and overdue payment management following contract award\nSupply Chain Responsibility: Direct Material Purchasing, subcontracting, and Logistics\nRotable/Asset Management: identification of Gear Purchases, tear down, part liquidations/sales, and Rotable Capex\nCosting responsibility to support Major Bids/Customer RFPs\nIndirect Purchasing/contract management responsibility for the site\nManagement of site costings (pre-contract) and analysis for pricing requests through the Sales organisation\nLead all Business Development related to Military/Regional activity from RFP, contract negotiations to sales support management\nLead, mentor, and continue developing the Customer Support, Logistic, and Purchasing teams\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nCapacity to develop long-term commercial and customer service strategies aligned with company objectives\nPositive and proactive approach to challenges and change management\nSystematic problem solver with the ability to implement solutions\nBusiness acumen and financial awareness essential\nStrong negotiation skills with experience in closing contracts with customers and suppliers\nAbility to manage and organise multiple projects/tasks simultaneously\nExcellent communication skills to present effective and persuasive arguments\nExperience in the Aerospace sector , MRO experience a bonus\nPrior management experience in a customer service or commercial management capacity\nWillingness to travel as necessary (predominantly Europe)\n\nBenefits:\n\nEarly finish on Fridays. 4 days in the office 1 from home.
