Reports To: Vice President of Field Operations

Salary: $25-$32 per hour Commensurate with experience

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Crane Operator with a CDL to join our team and support safe and efficient lifting operations on job sites across the region. The Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating mobile cranes to move, lift, and position roofing, glass, and façade materials on commercial construction projects. This role requires precision, strong situational awareness, and strict adherence to safety protocols and load handling procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate hydraulic truck cranes and/or boom trucks in accordance with manufacturer instructions and OSHA/ANSI standards.
  • Coordinate daily activities to meet project schedules and quality standards.
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and maintain accurate logbooks and maintenance records.
  • Set up, level, and secure cranes before lifting operations.
  • Comply with all DOT regulations for vehicle operation and maintenance.
  • Assist with rigging and material handling when not operating equipment.
  • Report any safety concerns, near misses, or equipment issues immediately.
  • Support company safety culture and attend toolbox talks and safety meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CDL Class A or B license.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating cranes on construction sites.
  • NCCCO Crane Operator Certification (or equivalent).
  • Proven understanding of load charts, rigging practices, and signaling.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and DOT physical.
  • Experience with roofing, glazing, or cladding materials ().
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting ability ().
  • OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Construction certification ().
