Job Description
GFC Crane Consultants, Inc. is looking for Crane Operations and Maintenance Personnel to join our team in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This is a unique temporary-to-permanent opportunity designed for recent engineering graduates.
About the Role
As a temporary Operations and Maintenance Personnel, you will work on the day maintenance gang for 90 days, gaining hands-on experience and critical knowledge of our Ship to Shore Gantry Cranes at Port Everglades. This period is a paid training and evaluation period, with the goal of transitioning you into a full-time, permanent position.
Responsibilities during the 90-day temporary period:
- Perform daily operations and maintenance tasks on Ship to Shore Gantry Cranes.
- Work under the guidance of experienced team members to learn mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Document maintenance activities and report on crane conditions.
Compensation & Benefits
- Temporary Period (90 Days): $40.00 per hour, guaranteed 40 hours per week.
- Permanent Position: Up to $110,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package.
- Lodging: Provided by GFC Crane Consultants, Inc. for the duration of the 90-day temporary period.
Qualifications
- Education: Recently graduated with an engineering degree.
- Availability: Must be able to start on or before October 20th.
