Position Summary
We’re seeking a Crane Maintenance Supervisor to lead inspection, maintenance, and repair of container handling cranes (STS, RTG). This is a leadership role focused on team development, technical oversight, and operational reliability—not crane or forklift operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily crane maintenance and repairs
- Lead and mentor a team of crane technicians; assign tasks and monitor performance
- Implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and ANSI safety standards
- Coordinate with terminal operations to minimize equipment downtime
- Manage parts inventory and procurement
- Maintain CMS records and report KPIs
- Support technician training and career development
- Drive continuous improvement in maintenance processes and team performance
Qualifications
- 5+ years of crane maintenance experience; 2+ years in a supervisory role
- Strong knowledge of crane systems, diagnostics, and maintenance planning
- Experience with CMS and technical documentation
- TWIC credential required
- OSHA certification not required (employee does not operate cranes)
- Forklift operation not required

Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions, including inclement weather
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
- Extended periods of standing, walking, or driving within the terminal or warehouse
Working Conditions
- Work at a port or terminal, which may involve shift work, weekends, and holidays
- Exposure to industrial environments, noise, and heavy machinery
