COUNTRY DIRECTOR (MOROCCO

    Overview: 

 This position will be the senior leader in the host country and responsible for all operations therein. The primary role is to lead our client’s presence and deliver the entire portfolio while identifying and securing add on business opportunities.

In the early stages of project development, the Country Director will drive the project phases from the studies and approvals, through design, construction, commissioning and into operations.

 This role will drive the strategic direction within the host country and manage all course of business functions including establishment of the office and local workforce, commercial licenses, projects, budget, government engagement, community social relations, Health and Safety and all other aspects required to deliver and operate our clients and projects. Once the projects reach COD, the Country Director will have full profit and loss (P&L) responsibility to ensure continued profitability of the business.

Key responsibilities:

Develop, manage, and lead for our clients in country teams to ensure they deliver the projects to standard, on time and within budget.

• Lead all aspects of the local client’s portfolio through the feasibility, design, approval and when approved, delivery stages.
• Lead the key relationships with Federal, Provincial, and local Government bodies associated with securing and developing our clients Energy Target Hydropower sites across local area.
• Oversee engaged consultants to produce outcomes required to support development and delivery of the clients Portfolio.
• Ensure our client adheres to all Government regulations and procedures relating to maintaining our business licenses.
• Support the clients’ technical teams by engaging required consultants and Subject Matter Experts to ensure best practice and use of world leading technologies.
• Bi-Lingual French/English speaker preferred.
