The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Cost Controller to join a leading specialist contractor delivering works on one of the UK's largest infrastructure programmes.

Working within a major project environment, you'll support the commercial and finance teams by delivering accurate cost reporting, forecasting and financial analysis while helping to ensure strong commercial governance across the project.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor project costs, budgets and forecasts.
Prepare regular cost reports and analyse financial performance.
Support forecasting, accruals and committed cost reporting.
Assist with audit activities and ensure compliance with project procedures.
Work closely with commercial, procurement and operational teams to provide financial insight.
Identify opportunities to improve reporting, governance and cost efficiency.
Support accurate financial planning and project decision-making.

About You

We're looking for candidates with:

Previous experience as a Cost Controller, Project Accountant or Commercial Finance professional.
Fully qualified ACCA, CIMA or ACA (or equivalent).
Experience working on construction, civil engineering, infrastructure or engineering projects.
Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel capability.
Experience using ERP systems such as Oracle or similar.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Experience with NEC contracts, major infrastructure projects or Tier 1 contractors would be highly advantageous.
