Description



The Cost Controller role within this large global business owns the financial steering of multi-million-pound projects, ensuring budgets, forecasts and cost controls are spot on from kickoff right through to final margin analysis.



You'll be the go-to expert for clear cost insights that keep every project on track and on budget.



In this role you will:



Own budget setup, updates and forecasting, aligning costs with revenue streams

Analyse performance variances against As Sold and Control budgets, turning data into actionable plans

Reconcile forecasts with actuals, post accruals and manage unbilled revenue

Lead change control and variation estimates to reflect every project adjustment

Produce concise monthly status reports highlighting cost positions, risks and contingency needs

Work with supply chain on requisitions, hire control and goods receipting to optimise spend

Support project close-out by reconciling purchase orders and delivering final margin reportingYou'll collaborate closely with project managers and cross-functional teams, using your commercial eye to mitigate risk and drive value at every stage. Profile



Success in this role comes from bringing the right blend of hands-on experience and analytical flair:



At least three years of proven cost control, forecasting and financial reporting

Advanced Excel proficiency for sophisticated data analysis, modelling and reporting

Working knowledge of CSAM to navigate their project systems would be desirable

Sharp analytical skills that identify trends, variances and optimisation opportunities

Creative problem-solving ability to tackle complex cost challenges

Demonstrated capacity to organise and prioritise multiple work packages across several entities simultaneouslyJob Offer
