Your newpany The services of Hays have been retained by our client, Queen’s University Belfast, to appoint a Cost &mercial Manager on a 3-year FTC basis to ensure the effectivemercial management of the University’s sponsored City Deal Projects being delivered under the Belfast Region City Deal (BRCD) Programme.Your new role On all three University-sponsored City Deals Projects, you will be responsible for supporting the Estates Managers in relation to:Capital costs,mercial management.Life cycle costing.Risk management.The role will primarily involve acting as Cost andmercial Manager to provide support from RIBA Stage 4 onwards. This will involve robustly analysing, challenging and understanding all cost,mercial and risk matters across all three projects and reporting both internally and externally to BRCD partners.A full job description is available on request.What you'll need to succeed To be eligible for this vacancy you must possess:An undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying or undergraduate degree with Post Graduate qualification in Quantity Surveying, Cost Management ormercial Management.Professional Chartership Achievement to a relevant professional body ( RICS, CIOB).Substantial recent relevant professional experience in an estates/building project environment to include:Clear, demonstrable evidence of successful financial management of projects over £15m.Experience of NEC contracts Option B and Option C.Experience of change management for NEC contracts.Experience of analysing and reviewing costs during the ECI period.Experience of managing and monitoring costed risk registers.Experience of preparing cost reporting for client and stakeholders/funders.What you'll get in return This role will provide you with the opportunity to assist in the delivery of a range of landmark Northern Ireland Projects.
