Corrosion Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Corrosion Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for evaluating, preventing, and mitigating corrosion risks to ensure the integrity and longevity of critical infrastructure and equipment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Work with a team of corrosion control engineers and technicians on specific corrosion control project or assigned to a specific geographical or operational area.
- Perform special studies in corrosion control. Evaluate data as to scope, impact and long-range cost effectiveness on existing and planned facilities, and coordinates the preparation of reports.
- Review operations and monitoring activities associated with corrosion control facilities to identify needed system modifications or procedural changes.
- Keep current with significant developments in corrosion control, with emphasis on your area of specialty, through technical literature, participation in professional and industry society meetings, etc.
- Maintain appropriate level of contact with site teams, 3rd parties, and other Disciplines / stakeholders to ensure effective achievement of the corrosion & inspection management objectives.
- Recommend changes in corrosion criticality analyses and monitoring / inspection programs where appropriate.
- Advise on materials selection, inspection and testing requirements, and repair techniques for static equipment (well casings & tubings, flowlines, transfer lines, pipelines, storage tanks, pressure vessels ... etc.) in a timely manner to minimize shutdowns and interruptions to operations.
- Must have authorization to work for any U.S. Employee
- Bachelors degree in chemical engineering
- Must have 5+ years of related work experience in process/project engineering for chemical, refinery or oil and gas projects and/or with a consulting firm representing similar industries.
- Knowledge of environmental regulations, safety standards, computer software and services, and current chemical engineering technology.
