Are you looking to launch your career in corporate tax within a global organisation? We’re looking for a motivated Corporate Tax Assistant (Trainee) to join our UK Corporate Tax Department. This is a training-focused position — no prior tax experience is assumed, and you will receive full support and development from our experienced team. If you have strong communication skills, an interest in tax, and a background or academic foundation in finance or accounting, this could be the perfect opportunity to grow your career.

What You’ll Do

  • As a Corporate Tax Assistant (Trainee), you will support the team across a wide range of UK direct and indirect tax reporting and compliance activities, including:
  • Corporate Tax Reporting & Compliance -Assist with preparing corporation tax and deferred tax figures/disclosures for UK statutory accounts.
  • Corporate Tax Administration - Assist with preparing estimates for Quarterly Instalment Payments (QIPs).
  • US GAAP Reporting - Support quarterly and annual US GAAP tax reporting requirements.
  • Additional Responsibilities
    • Assist with overseas tax returns as required.
    • Coordinate requests for Certificates of Residence.
    • Support preparation of the monthly UK VAT Group Return, including payment/repayment allocation.

What We’re Looking For

Essential Qualifications

  • A university degree with an understanding of finance, financial accounting, or related concepts.

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong communication skills — able to write clearly and concisely.
  • Good project management and organisational abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Eagerness to take on new challenges and develop both technical and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work flexibly to meet deadlines.

  • No prior tax experience required — full training will be provided.
