Corporate Electrical Engineering Co-op

Description Position Summary:Reporting and working under the direction of the Electrical Engineering Manager and alongside Electrical Team members this co-op position will support the Electrical Engineering Department in project work as well as providing support to our manufacturing operations in North America.When you join us you will:Create, edit, and update electrical schematics and layout drawings in AutoCAD based on input from supervisor or team membersCreate and update spreadsheets used for bill of material lists, cable schedules, job tracking, estimating, etc.Develop and update documentationAssist senior engineers with their responsibilitiesAssist in PLC programming as per project requirements.Perform other duties as assignedOur ideal candidate:3rd or 4th year student enrolled in UniversityExcellent organization and analytical skillsProficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Strong communication (written, verbal, and presentation) and interpersonal skillsAbility to establish priorities and work effectively in a teamWorks well independentlyUnderstanding of basic electrical theory and control circuitsUnderstanding of Basic PLC programming in ladder logicAbility to create and edit AutoCAD drawingsHours/ Days / ScheduleHours of work will be primarily Monday through Friday {30 – 40 hours, day shift}.Benefits of Employment: IKO recognizes that its success is due to the strength of its employees.
