Controls Technician
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair industrial instrumentation, controls, and electrical equipment
- Support continuous operation of process controls, metering devices, telemetry systems, and plant instrumentation
- Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and system troubleshooting
- Install and commission instrumentation for flow, pressure, temperature, level, and control systems
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, loop drawings, ladder logic, and technical schematics
- Troubleshoot PLC, SCADA, telemetry, VFDs, control valves, and instrumentation loops
- Calibrate transmitters, RTDs, thermocouples, control valves, and process instrumentation
- Modify and support industrial control panels and related electrical systems
- Work with electricians and operations teams to diagnose and resolve control system issues
- Respond to emergency maintenance needs and support plant operations as required
Qualifications
- 6+ years of industrial instrumentation / controls experience
- Experience in industrial, power, water, wastewater, process plant, or similar environments
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PLC, SCADA, telemetry, and process controls
- Hands-on experience with calibration tools, loop testing, and instrumentation devices
- Ability to read technical drawings and work independently or with a team
- Valid driver’s license required
Work Environment
- Industrial / plant environment with field service responsibilities
- Must be able to lift, climb, work in confined spaces, and wear PPE
- Requires strong safety awareness and ability to respond to emergency calls
