Hawks, a leader in HVAC, is seeking a qualified Controls Tech to join our team! If you are seeking a role that combines your technical skills and a desire to provide the highest quality of customer satisfaction, then this may be a good fit for you.
Job Responsibilities
- Perform system design, preventative maintenance, repair, installation and commissioning of Direct Digital Control (DDC) Systems.
- Trouble shoot issues that arise during service visits and repair as needed.
- Assist with startup, commission and re-commission of customer systems that utilize electrical/electronic technology
- Provide exemplary service to clients
- Respond to emergency calls in a timely manner
- Collaborate with customers on diagnostics and repair of complex systems malfunctions requiring knowledge of a variety of electronic or digital controls systems
- Meets regularly with customer to become familiar with operating problems.
- Adheres to all Hawks and customer safety standards
- Participates in training classes as assigned and conducts extensive self-study to develop technical proficiency in the company's product lines.
- Complete documentation on time including timesheets, expense reports, work orders, on-site requirements and XOI's.

Requirements:
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license in good standing.
- Basic understanding of control logic
- experience troubleshooting DDC systems.
- Must be service oriented and willing to work effectively with customers' on-site staff
- Prior experience in HVAC and/or Building Automation
- Technical Business School Certificate/Diploma OR post high school training with a minimum of 3+ years' experience.
- Strong mechanical mindset and attention to detail.
- Ability to use hand/power tools and electrical testing equipment.
- Ability to climb ladders in excess of 8 feet above ground level and lifting items up to 50 pounds.
