Controls Systems Engineer-Power

(USC AND GC and H1B with I140 approved visas works)

Key Responsibilities

• Program, test, and debug control logic on multiple PLC platforms.

• Implement subsystem interfaces and data exchange with supervisory control systems.

• Develop logic for sequencing, interlocks, alarms, and fault handling.

• Implement fail safe behavior, including communication loss detection.

• Support HMI integration through PLC tags, diagnostics, and control logic.

• Participate in system integration, FAT, commissioning, and troubleshooting.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Controls, or related engineering field.

• 5+ years of industrial PLC programming experience.

• Experience with multiple PLC platforms and industrial control systems.

• Strong understanding of sequencing, state based control, and fault handling.

Qualifications

• Experience with power systems or rotating equipment controls.

• Exposure to alternator protection/synchronization and SCR systems.

• Experience with Simulink PLC Coder

• Factory Acceptance Test, Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT) and field commissioning experience
