Controls Engineer\n\nOutside IR35\n\nHybrid working\n\nMission\n\nControl Engineer role with the responsibility for helping upgrade existing infrastructure using Siemens latest portfolio of control systems to ensure future sustainability for T&D network\n\nDuties\n\nEnsure compliance with customer technical specifications on allocated projects\nUnderstanding of Cyber Security requirements in control and automation systems (IEC62443,IEC62351).\nDevelopment and configuration of engineering control solutions. Configuration and testing of networks (RSTP, PRP) utilising software tools for analyses and fault finding.\nProduction/checking of all test documentation. Production / checking of functional design specifications and design intent documents\nCarry out FAT activities\nProvide SAT support\nResponsible for technical issues/support on allocated projects\nEnsuring that solutions meet the requirements of the latest policies and standards\nAttend internal and external design reviews providing technical input\nProvide technical input for tendering activitiesExperience\n\nExperience of Grid delivery and/or Control / Automation background\nExperience of Serial and Ethernet based communication protocols and topologies (IEC(phone number removed)-101/103/104, IEC61850)\nA minimum qualification of HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering and/or experience in the Electricity Transmission and Distribution Industryersg are an equal opportunities employer; we are committed to promoting equality of opportunity for all job applicants.
