Controls Software Engineer\n Up to 46k + car allowance\n Nottingham (hybrid working, 2 days in the office)\n\nMy client is seeking a highly skilled Controls Software Engineer to join their software team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the full project lifecycle, taking projects from concept through to completion. You will be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning PLC control systems from scratch using Allen Bradley/Rockwell and/or Mitsubishi PLCs.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nDevelop, program, and implement PLC control systems from the ground up.\nWork on the full project lifecycle, from initial concept, design, and development through to testing, commissioning, and support.\nCollaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including electrical and mechanical engineers, to ensure seamless integration of control systems.\nPerform troubleshooting, debugging, and optimization of PLC programs.\nEnsure compliance with relevant industry standards and safety regulations.\nProvide technical documentation, including system specifications, user manuals, and test procedures.\nSupport installation and commissioning activities on-site as required.\nStay up to date with the latest advancements in PLC technology and industrial automation.\n\nKey Requirements:\n\nProven experience in designing and programming PLC systems from scratch.\nA solid understanding of industrial automation, control systems, and HMI/SCADA development.\nAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nStrong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach.\nKnowledge of communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, and other industrial networks.\nWillingness to travel for commissioning and on-site support when required
