Controls & Instrumentation Technician – Hiring Immediately!

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is seeking a Controls & Instrumentation Technician for one of the top medical device manufacturers in the industry. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity to play a hands-on role in a growing U.S. manufacturing operation with cutting-edge automation and innovation.

Location: Acton, MA

Pay: $30–$45/hour + 15% Overnight Shift Differential

Shift: Overnight Shift (rotating biweekly)

  • Week 1: Mon, Tue, Wed, and every other Sun – 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
  • Week 2: Thu, Fri, Sat, and every other Sun – 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM
  • Shift rotation occurs every 3 months for all team members

What You’ll Do:

  • Install, operate, and maintain complex automation, assembly, and process equipment
  • Troubleshoot control circuits, wiring, sensors, and drive systems
  • Work with PLCs (Rockwell ControlLogix), HMIs, Cognex/Keyence vision systems, and VFD/servo drives
  • Set up and program industrial control components
  • Support acceptance testing at vendor sites and equipment startup at the facility
  • Execute preventive and corrective maintenance with full documentation and database tracking
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT to resolve technical issues
  • Follow safety and regulatory standards including NFPA 79/70E

What We’re Looking For:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience with control systems in a manufacturing or automation environment

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Technician Diploma or Associate Degree
  • MA Electrical License a plus
  • Familiarity with tools and platforms such as RSLogix Studio 5000, FactoryTalk, Cognex, ABB Robot Studio, SQL Server, and Visual Basic
  • Solid understanding of PID loop tuning, process control, and safety standards
  • Ability to work independently, troubleshoot effectively, and communicate clearly
