CG Automation & Fixture is seeking a motivated Controls Engineering to join our team and gain hands-on experience in industrial automation. This is a unique opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers and contribute to real-world projects involving PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and motion systems.

What You'll Do

As a Controls Engineering , you'll support the design, programming, and implementation of automation systems. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with PLC and HMI programming (Allen-Bradley, Siemens, etc.)
• Supporting electrical design and panel layout using AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools
• Participating in system integration, wiring, and commissioning
• Helping create and maintain I/O lists, wiring diagrams, and documentation
• Debugging and starting up automated machinery
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software, production)

What You'll Learn

• Full project lifecycle from design through commissioning
• Programming and electrical design skills
• Real-world applications in manufacturing, robotics, and process control
• Safety and quality procedures in a professional engineering environment

Who You Are

• Currently pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
• Familiar with PLC/HMI software (RSLogix, TIA Portal, Studio 5000, Ignition)
• Exposure to AutoCAD or SolidWorks Electrical is a plus
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
• Eager to learn, collaborate, and contribute
