Controls Engineer Supervisor
Roswell, GA | ✈ Regular Travel Across Georgia | Aggregates / Asphalt / Ready‑Mix / Heavy Industrial.
We are working with a nationally recognized construction materials producer looking to bring on a Controls Engineer Supervisor to lead automation, controls design, and engineering support across multiple facilities throughout Georgia.
This role will oversee process control projects, supervise engineering personnel, and drive automation standards across aggregate, asphalt, and ready‑mix operations.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and supervise process control engineering activities across multiple plant locations
- Oversee design and development of PLC and HMI systems from concept through installation
- Support plant networks, wireless systems, and firewall configuration
- Provide technical direction to contractors, integrators, and internal teams
- Mentor regional electrical staff and Process Control Engineers on safe and best‑practice methods
- Manage, upgrade, and standardize existing control systems across all sites
- Prepare cost estimates, project schedules, and technical documentation
- Participate in project reviews and ensure feasibility, accuracy, and compliance with standards
- Support troubleshooting, optimization, and continuous improvement of plant automation
What they are looking for?
- 7+ years of experience with heavy industrial control systems (aggregates, mining, asphalt, ready‑mix, or similar)
- Strong PLC/HMI experience (Allen‑Bradley / Rockwell required)
- Hands‑on troubleshooting skills and field installation experience
- Experience with industrial control networks and system architecture
- Ability to lead engineering personnel and manage multiple projects
- Knowledge of NEC, NFPA, IEEE, and NEMA standards is a plus
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, PowerPoint; AutoCAD experience
Additional Skills that are a plus
- Experience with Wonderware / AVEVA, Historian, or industrial reporting tools
- Familiarity with SQL Server or MES systems
- B.S. in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline
Location & Travel
This position is based in Roswell, GA with regular travel required to support plant operations and project work across the state.
