Modern new offices\n\nRef: 24769\n\nYou’ll be working as part of a close-knit and highly skilled team, contributing to cutting-edge automation projects from concept through to commissioning.
This is a technically stimulating role with UK based travel (approx. 20%) and major opportunities for growth.\n\nControl Systems Engineer - The Role:\n\nDesign, configure and develop PLC & SCADA systems for a range of industrial automation projects.\nProduce clear and concise technical documentation – FDS, FAT, SAT, etc.\nManage full project life cycles — from initial design to on-site commissioning\nLiaise with clients and subcontractors to ensure seamless delivery.\nTravel across the UK (c20%) to support commissioning and client interaction.\nAs you gain experience, there’s scope to mentor junior engineers and even lead small project teams.\n\nControl Systems Engineer - The Person:\n\nSolid experience in real-time control systems design and commissioning.\nProficient in PLC programming (Rockwell / Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider).\nSCADA design experience .\nPrevious experience within a systems integrator environment\nComfortable managing documentation and project processes.\nDegree-qualified (or equivalent experience) and a full UK driving licence.\n\nWe are keen to see Control Systems Engineers with experience of the following packages:\n\nPLC Software – Rockwell / Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi, Schneider\nHMI/SCADA Software – Rockwell FTView ME & SE, AVEVA InTouch & System Platform, Schneider ClearSCADA GEiFIX, Siemens WinCC\n\nWhy Join?\n\nBe part of a forward-thinking business with over 100 years of engineering heritage and a near-£1Bn order book.\n Work in modern, fully fitted offices with the latest tools and collaborative spaces.\n Enjoy excellent personal development support, including structured Chartership pathways.\n Thrive in a role offering variety, responsibility, and progression.\n\nLocated in South Yorkshire, this role would be commutable from Rotherham, Chesterfield, Sheffield, Doncaster, Barnsley, Matlock, Buxton, Retford, Mansfield, Wakefield and Leeds\n\nFor further information call Sarah Clarke \n\nAE1
