Controls Engineer

are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer with experience in PLC programming and a strong background in electrical

systems. This role is essential in designing, developing, and maintaining control systems that enhance automation and

improve efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach and be comfortable working with cross

functional teams in a dynamic environment.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, program, and troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and Remote Telemetry Units

(RTUs).

• Design and implement electrical control systems, including hardware schematics and panel layouts, to

successfully integrate with STREAMETRIC software.

• Configure and integrate STREAMETRIC with 3rd party SCADA applications such as VTSCADA, Wonderware, etc.

• Collaborate with development engineers, support teams, and project managers to ensure successful proposal

or bid creation.

• Conduct system testing, validation, and debugging to ensure functionality and performance. (remote or on

site)

• Optimize and maintain existing control systems to improve reliability and efficiency.

• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, control schematics, and

operating procedures.

• Ensure all systems comply with relevant safety and industry standards.

• Provide technical support and training to internal teams and operators as needed.

• Travel is expected to perform project startups, troubleshooting, or site visits. (30%)

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.

• At least 2 years of experience in controls engineering, particularly in PLC programming (Siemens, Allen-Bradley,

or similar systems).

• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including circuits, wiring, and troubleshooting.

• Experience with Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA)

systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.

• Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Base salary range: $80-110k (Commensurate with Experience)
