Job Description

Controls Engineer
Nuneaton, Warwickshire
£50,000 - £55,000
Days 8am – 4pm Mon - Fri

We are looking for a fully fledged or junior controls engineer to join our team at our new manufacturing facility in Nuneaton. We have been manufacturing the highest quality food products for the last 3 years from our state-of-the-art plant.

We have turnover in excess of £75m over the last calendar year with further growth plans. We currently employ over 350 employees at our Nuneaton site alone.

What we look for in the Controls Engineer:

  • Ideally qualified to a minimum NVQ level 3. You’ll also have an electrical competency certification (BS7671) and UK Electrical Test & Inspection qualifications.
  • \n

  • Proven experience in Controls Engineering, particularly with Siemens, Omron, and Allen-Bradley PLCs in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • \n

  • You’ll need to be proficient in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance. Familiarity with industrial networks and protocols (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Modbus) is essential.
  • \n

  • You’ll need to be a quick thinker, identifying and solving problems proactively to keep operations running smoothly.
  • \n

  • Experience with SCADA systems, HMI development, robotics, motion control, and advanced automation tech.
  • \n

  • Knowledge of safety systems (SIL, ISO 13849) and certifications in specific PLC platforms.
  • \n
