Controls Engineer (Machine Vision & Automation)

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Controls Engineer with expertise in Keyence vision systems and machine vision hardware to support automated inspection systems within manufacturing environments. This role focuses on developing, testing, and optimizing industrial automation equipment, ensuring high performance and reliability across production lines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain vision inspection systems for automated manufacturing lines
  • Perform feasibility testing to evaluate new concepts, technologies, and inspection methods
  • Conduct debugging and troubleshooting of automation equipment and control systems
  • Configure and optimize Keyence cameras, vision software, and inspection algorithms
  • Collaborate on PLC programming, sensor integration, and system commissioning
  • Support process validation and ensure system performance meets production requirements
  • Analyze and improve manufacturing processes to drive continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide technical support during system startup and production ramp-up

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven experience as a Controls Engineer in industrial automation or manufacturing environments
  • Hands-on experience with Keyence vision systems or similar machine vision hardware
  • Strong knowledge of PLC programming, industrial controls, and electrical systems
  • Experience with vision system configuration, inspection algorithms, and automated inspection processes
  • Demonstrated ability in debugging, troubleshooting, and process validation
  • Familiarity with system commissioning and production line optimization
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
