Role Overview

The Controls Engineer leads the design, programming, and implementation of Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC) for commercial and industrial HVAC applications, supporting projects from concept through commissioning.

Key Responsibilities

• Design BAS/DDC systems, including sequences of operation and system architecture
• Develop control drawings, wiring diagrams, and submittals
• Program controllers, system logic, and graphics using platforms like Niagara or EcoStruxure
• Support or lead system startup, commissioning, and performance validation
• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance independently
• Provide technical guidance to field teams and support project execution
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure alignment with project requirements

A self-driven engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, working across the full project lifecycle, and building reliable, high-performing systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• 3–5+ years in building automation, HVAC controls, or related field
• Experience designing and implementing BAS/DDC systems
• Knowledge of HVAC systems (RTUs, VAVs, air handlers) and control strategies
• Familiarity with Niagara, EcoStruxure, or similar platforms
• Proficiency in AutoCAD/Visio and Microsoft Office
