Role Overview
The Controls Engineer leads the design, programming, and implementation of Building Automation Systems (BAS/DDC) for commercial and industrial HVAC applications, supporting projects from concept through commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Design BAS/DDC systems, including sequences of operation and system architecture
- Develop control drawings, wiring diagrams, and submittals
- Program controllers, system logic, and graphics using platforms like Niagara or EcoStruxure
- Support or lead system startup, commissioning, and performance validation
- Troubleshoot and optimize system performance independently
- Provide technical guidance to field teams and support project execution
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure alignment with project requirements

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 3–5+ years in building automation, HVAC controls, or related field
- Experience designing and implementing BAS/DDC systems
- Knowledge of HVAC systems (RTUs, VAVs, air handlers) and control strategies
- Familiarity with Niagara, EcoStruxure, or similar platforms
- Proficiency in AutoCAD/Visio and Microsoft Office
