Controls Engineer / Maintenance Technician (Contract)
Summary:
Hands-on role supporting automated manufacturing equipment with a focus on PLC, electrical, robotics, and CNC troubleshooting. This is a floor-based position responsible for minimizing downtime and improving system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, servo/motion systems, and CNC equipment
- Support Fanuc robots (troubleshooting; basic programming a plus)
- Diagnose and resolve equipment downtime issues quickly
- Perform preventive maintenance and document in CMMS
- Interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
- Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA, LOTO, NFPA)
Requirements
- 3–5+ years in industrial controls/electrical troubleshooting
- Strong experience with PLC, CNC, robotics, and automation systems
- Ability to read electrical schematics
- Hands-on troubleshooting mindset in manufacturing environment
