Controls Engineer / Maintenance Technician (Contract)

Summary:
Hands-on role supporting automated manufacturing equipment with a focus on PLC, electrical, robotics, and CNC troubleshooting. This is a floor-based position responsible for minimizing downtime and improving system reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot Allen-Bradley PLCs, HMIs, servo/motion systems, and CNC equipment
• Support Fanuc robots (troubleshooting; basic programming a plus)
• Diagnose and resolve equipment downtime issues quickly
• Perform preventive maintenance and document in CMMS
• Interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
• Ensure compliance with safety standards (OSHA, LOTO, NFPA)

Requirements

• 3–5+ years in industrial controls/electrical troubleshooting
• Strong experience with PLC, CNC, robotics, and automation systems
• Ability to read electrical schematics
• Hands-on troubleshooting mindset in manufacturing environment
