Electrical Designer – AutoCAD Electrical Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Designer with hands-on expertise in AutoCAD Electrical to support complex electrical drafting, schematic development, and panel layout design for a range of industrial and commercial projects. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a deep understanding of electrical control systems, circuit design, and construction documentation.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and revise electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.

• Develop detailed electrical designs for power distribution, control systems, and equipment wiring.

• Interpret engineering specifications, blueprints, and technical documents to produce accurate electrical drawings.

• Collaborate closely with project engineers, mechanical designers, and project managers to ensure integrated system designs.

• Maintain and update project documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOMs) and as-built drawings.

• Ensure all designs comply with relevant electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.

• Support the development of PLC wiring diagrams, loop diagrams, and single-line drawings.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and familiarity with other CAD software tools.

• 3+ years of experience in electrical drafting, preferably in industrial automation, building systems, or manufacturing environments.

• Strong knowledge of electrical components, control panel layouts, and wiring practices.

• Experience with electrical code compliance (e.g., NEC, IEC).

• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines with high attention to detail.

Skills

• Familiarity with PLC systems, instrumentation, and electrical testing procedures.

• Experience with 3D modeling software or Revit MEP is a plus.

• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
