Controls Engineer in Ann Arbor
Job DescriptionJob Description
- Design and develop building automation systems
- Design and develop electrical control systems that will interface with facility & building management manufacturing equipment and sensors
- Architect custom solutions using the appropriate technologies from control databases to AI to User Interface tools.
- Provide our clients with real-time data, and actionable information about their facilities
- Develop quality control system sequences and programs in accordance with established client standards
- Work in team environment with engineers and designers from partners and clients
- Grow into a position of leading a team of engineers and technicians to provide quality automation and information solutions.
Qualifications
- Degree in a Technical Field, related to Engineering or Systems
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple concurrent projects
- Passionate about problem solving and developing solutions
- Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
Pertinent Experience:
- Relevant Co-op experience
- Manufacturing process knowledge or building/facility management knowledge
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC), Distributed Control System (DCS), and/or Direct Digital Control (DDC) experience
- Familiarity with web development technologies
- Design and Implementation of Relational/Document Databases and Historians (Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, Mongo, OSIsoft, etc.)
