Position Overview

The ideal candidate for this position is experienced in self-performing in the development and programming process control systems. Must have experience coding from scratch. The candidate must implement control strategies, design control panels, specify instrumentation, and program common PLC/HMI packages. The candidate must be comfortable working in an office environment and field environment. The position requires some travel (mostly local).

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years experience in Industrial Automation as a Controls Engineer.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited school, OR engaged in engineering program at an accredited school.
  • Experience with PLC and DCS hands on programming from modification to executing from scratch.
  • HMI/SCADA programming from stand-alone to redundant distributed.
  • Implement Historians and reporting.
  • Server and computer setup/configuration.
  • Develop control narratives.
  • Develop testing plans.
  • Specify and configure instruments.
  • Commissioning of systems (some local / remote travel required).
  • Preparing specifications for purchasing of software and servers.
  • Estimating software, labor, and implementation costs for budget preparation.
  • Plus: Licensed as a Professional Engineer (PE) desired but not required.
